Part 13 of NMREC Rules for all licensees:
- 30 credit hours required per 3 year licensing cycle
- 8 hours Mandatory Course Required, plus 22 elective CE
- Maximum of 10 credit hours may be from ‘Training’ courses
- Minimum of 12 credit hours must be from ‘Education’ courses [all 22 OK]
- Maximum credit hours per course = 10
- 90% attendance required for CE courses, except 30 hour pre-license for CE
- Attendance at Commission Meeting or Rules/Disciplinary Hearing: up to 4 ‘Education’
- CE Credit Hours may NOT be carried forward to next cycle
- New cycle starts the day after your license expiration date
- CE courses available on-line, computer disk, and by correspondence
- Pre- and Post-Approval of other courses: apply to Education Director
- Post-Approval will be for ‘Training’ credit only
For Associate Brokers in their first licensing cycle:
If you were licensed as Abs for the first time on or after January 1, 2006, as a result of having passed the broker’s examination, shall successfully complete:
- At least 10 CE hours by the end of your 1st year
- At least 20 CE hours by the end of your 2nd year
- At least 30 CE hours by the end of your 3rd year
- Must include the Mandatory Course by the end of the 3 year cycle

- Qualifying Broker Refresher Course - Course #2 (4 Education CE credits). This course is NOW required of all license renewing Qualifying Brokers for each renewal cycle after 1/1/2006.
